If the 720 casting is part #F1500R, that is (to the best of my knowledge) the lightest cast center for 38in. tires. Don't know what size tires are on your 3020, but any cast center that tapers inward on the inside of the wheel is considerably heavier than the F1500R, almost double the weight. The F1500R was used on everything from the 2cyl 50, to the 4010. If weight is an issue, you might want to consider getting a pair of 9 bolt hubs and use pressed steel wheels. |

I don't know how strong they are but wouldn't the "window wheels" from the early 50/60 be lighter than the 1500's? |

Markfarm, the F1478R, known as the "special offset" is the lightest cast hub for 38" wheels that I know of on the two cylinder era, I don't think its much lighter maybe 50-60 lbs. There are other casting numbers that are for the same type of "special offset" wheel for the newer/bigger tractors, I've even seen them on 4440 and 4455's.
I do not have weights for the F1500R vs the F1478R, but I can tell you that the standard 38" cast center for a 4430 weighs 500lbs, the "special offset" weighs 200lbs. Tractors that came with the lighter hubs are generally from areas that grow vegetables as they tend to have odd options like creeper transmissions or extra long axles. |

I know what you're talking about Deere man, I have the special offset cast centers on my 4430. They are much thinner than the standard cast center. I also have them on the inside tires on my 8430, although they are not listed in the 8430 parts book. |
