I was just wondering what you guys are running for heavier valve springs on a jd 55 series head for 3000 rpm. Anyone know how heavy they should be or have any part numbers for any heavy ones?
Also, are stock pushrods and rocker arms and shaft adequate with the roll pin between head and rocker shaft? Thanks |

OEM pushrods sub to R85027 which sub to R536992. $8.15 each. For about twice the cost you can get a set of HD from Smith. |

Ok, those late jd ones are about twice as heavy as the ones I had in mine, just switched them over to the heavier jd ones and put 3 cast hold downs on instead of the single aluminum ones. |

Beckett machine in Marysville Ohio used to have a reasonable priced rocker arm set up that looked indestructable on the shelf , but I heard they're no longer in buisiness, but not sure |
