narrow front end on a 766 April 22, 2013 03:16AM
I am in the process of putting a narrow front on a 766. I do not have the right steering bolister for it so i am going to put a 706 bolister in it and shim it to fit. My question is when a put the 706 bolister in the 766 am i going to have to change anything other than the steering lines. will i have to use the steering valve off the 706 or the hand metering pump or is it just as simple as shimming the 706 bolister in and making the lines work. if anyone has done this i would like to learn from your experience and mistakes. thanks for any info

The steering hand pump will work just fine with the 706 bolster. I have a 1466 steering valve on my 560 controlling a double ended cylinder from psc.

Hook the lines up and go, everything will work just the way it is.

it will work fine, if you get it hooked up and it won't turn, just keep turning the steering wheel, that will pump out the air, I have had an air lock before, but you can work it out by just turning back and forth
