so my cam grinder wants 105 degree centerline and i can get 109 or 99 degree centerline with the stock gear
Now i know i need a adjustable gear but i got a minne d585 so it will be custom.... I think 109 is fine for now if i feel its hurting i can always put one on or am i going to bleed off to much pressure with it being at 109 and run poorly?? |

Retarding the cam will give it more top end, your probably not running high rpms, make an offset key to get you to the 105. |

If the cam grinder says to put it in at 105, then that's where it needs to be. Seen a lot of guys over the years shoot themselves in the foot trying to go against the grain. |

talked to the cam grinder today and he though 109 should be fine i have to lash my intake valve a little loose to give me some more valve to piston clearance, if it runs bad i will just change it |

Can't you just use an offset key and get it right the first time?? |

on a low rpm engine build, (tractor pulling with rpm limits) I would want to be on the advanced side of the recomendation, not on the retarded side. |
