I believe a serial no. would be of help. If you really want to find it, a serial no could be the different. Otherwise they all look alike.

Sorry just passing it along, this is the info I have if anyone sees anything suspicious dealing with a 1206 please call the number show on the page,the owner will know what he's looking at.

Serial number is 7511, the 11th 1206 built.

Real sad to hear about #7511. I knew about this tractor for many years and was finally able to buy it at an auction sale after the original owner passed away in Michigan. It was a great original tractor when we restored it and then sold to it the owner of Bancroft Equipment back in 2010. Good luck to the guy who stole it. I can't see him being able to take it to a show anywhere and not be noticed.

Found by Fairbault MN, not sure on the conviction or tractors condition ,law enforcement is still holding the tractor as evidence that is all that has been said so far.

Sounds like they found it in a heated shed on the trail of some other stolen items. Don't know much more yet.

Tractor is in same condition except it didn't start when they found it.

Glad they found it as I thought it was gone.That tractor had sentimental value to owner and that has no price.Sounds like FBI found it while working on other stolen property cases and in this case it has been moved across state lines..

Rumors are just that and repeating is worse..I cant fiqure out what this guy was going to do with it.The highest price 1206 I know of besides the first one brought $36K on AuctionTime a few weeks ago but a new CIH tractor could bring 10X that amount and until he got caught it wouldn't even look out of place where the nice 1206 would draw attention.From what I gathered as the FBI and local law officers contacted a collector friend and another of my friends who deals in nice tractors and they in turn asked if I knew about it the guy responsible had been doing this for awhile and I hope they prosecute him to the limit.In the old days they just hung thieves now they send them to countryclub prison to be rehabilitated and you know who pays the bill.
