Turbo recommendation for 3000 rpm sbjd July 06, 2014 12:23PM
Working on a 500+ cube sbjd with 55 series head and manifolds, 500 cc pump, 3000 rpm for a altered farm class with 6 & 8 mph speed limits and open speed class. Whats the best charger for a happy medium in the speed limit classes running between 1500-2500 rpm and WOT at 3000 rpm? Thinking a gt42 but I'm afraid it won't stay lit at the lower rpm in the speed limit class. Any suggestions?

I'm running a s366 on a ford at 500ci in 10 mph and open classes. It seems to be to small. I've been talking with Wimers and they suggested a gt42 2.8x3 with a 101 housing ball bearing too to spin more freely so be easier to keep lit.
