What speed gears would be suggested for a class with dt466, p-pump and s300 turbo with 20.8's non cut weighing 10500. Want to get some gears made. |

You won't turn direct with that s300, Is that s300 a rule? If not throw that thing in the garbage and put on a good turbo! Even an old precision will be 100hp plus over that 300 |

Anyone else have an opinion with this turbo and gearing with it. |

Either stay with what you have with that setup, or go all the way with 1 under, Direct, 1 and 2 over if you plan on bumping up classes sometime. That way you only have to do it 1 time. You probably won't be able to pull taller gears with that engine setup. |

Wade correct me if I'm wrong doesn't the red tractor in your area run road gear with a 2.4 charger and a rotary pump? |

I think he runs nitrous....
2800rpm helps turn bigger gears too |

To many variables but I wouldn't think you'd be able to pull road gear or 1 over very competitively. But if I were doing it I'd do like like Bad Medicine says. Do it once and be done |

I used just the stock gearing from the factory I ran a 986 with a dt466 open rpm very mild cam 13mm rotary with 2.6 inlet the turbo was an H2 with 3lm cover ran direct used all stock factory gearing it pulled the best in 3rd even tho it would spin out in 4th I could get more speed in 3rd I think because of the rpms |

Yep

Follow bad medicines advice
1 under Direct 1 over 2 over If you think you might have trouble turning one under sometimes, run an allied 8 disk at and change the factory drop |

Make a difference what ring gear and pinion you have if 13-49 then direct is your best bet maybe one over, 16-49 better have a underdrive gear, one under if you have to run stock rpm. Always best to run directly if you can. |
