5.9 set up

New to diesel motors. what turbo and P pump set up for a 361 cu in ,3000rpm MSTTPA rules. Don't no anything about injection pumps and there set up. Looking to make around 800 hp. Thank for the help |

I dont see a 5.9 making 800 hp at 3000.

It could do it pretty easy with an intercooler. |

run as big as a charger you think u can run at 3000 rpms at 361 cubes plus a p 7100 pump.You mite want to call fvp |

I think its great, these cummins swaps open up the class to a different color. However I don't think a 5.9 is gonna do what you want very well. Can you go bigger? |

Correct, over read that. Not saying the 5.9 can't do it, but I don't think it'll run like some others like an IH 361 or 360 |

the cummin is about my only option that I see. I seen what it can do in some tractor it work great and it reliable. |

What kind of ground speed do tractors in this class have? What final gear ratio do they pull in? |

I would say somewhere around road gear that something I need to find out. Some r using ta or 3 speed. I will be deleting mine. The one I want to run with have a lot of ground speed I would say 20 mph + that a guess |
