Re: First Annual Farm Stock Pull in the Park March 23, 2015 04:41AM
I went to the website and found class listing but no set of rules. Not the best computer whiz so I may be not looking the proper place. Thanks

Re: First Annual Farm Stock Pull in the Park March 24, 2015 04:36AM
I found it. Amazing when you actually read the first post correctly. My bad. Thanks Brad

Re: First Annual Farm Stock Pull in the Park March 24, 2015 11:30PM
The actual flyer is on there as well...

We will have flyers to hand out at pulls and to post at businesses soon.

We want to encourage mph pullers from everywhere to attend. I know travelling is a bear, but strong participation this year will lead to bigger and better things in the future...

Thanks for all the interest so far.

Re: First Annual Farm Stock Pull in the Park March 25, 2015 06:01AM
Plan on attending and not trying to be a negative nancy but might get more tracrtors to show if you lower the weight from 14 to 13. Or do a 10.5 , 11.5 and 12.5. Just think its kind of heavy to be pulling 12mph. Just my two cents.

Re: First Annual Farm Stock Pull in the Park March 25, 2015 08:34AM
All weights stay as is for now, as per JCAMA.

Lowering the weight for 14000 12 mph can be discussed at drivers meeting.

The idea is to give 14000 6 mph tractors another class to run in if they choose to step up in speed.

Re: First Annual Farm Stock Pull in the Park April 21, 2015 04:15AM
Two months away---have you got your calendar circled?

Thanks for all the interest so far. The JCAMA is really excited about putting this pull on and is already looking forward to future pulls at the park.

They are really dedicated to making this (and future pulls) a success and are putting steps in place to making pullers feel welcome, making things run smoothly, and putting on a good show.

Several people have asked, so I wanted to clarify: this is NOT the first pull at this facility. They have a longstanding tradition of great antique pulling events. This is the first larger weight tractor pull.

Look forward to seeing everyone there!

Re: First Annual Farm Stock Pull in the Park June 14, 2015 09:21AM
Can you give physical address of the park? Thanks

Re: First Annual Farm Stock Pull in the Park June 14, 2015 10:39AM
39°22'04.6"N 86°02'18.9"W . Plug that in on Google or mapquest and it should come up.

If you go to jcamach.org and go to the "our location" tab, it will give directions also.

If you type in Whispering Pines golf course in Edinburgh, it will get close...go west of there and go to Schoolhouse road, then turn north. There will be signs on 31, 252, Schoolhouse road...you won't get lost.

Be advised that there is a lot of convoy activity by the main gate of Camp Atterbury on Schoolhouse road. Nothing horrible, but please take care.

Re: First Annual Farm Stock Pull in the Park May 20, 2015 12:56PM
It is fast approaching and will be here soon....

The JCAMA is working hard to make this a great inaugural event!

A few things since last post (in no particular order): for those that wish to come from Tampico Saturday night and park....there will be eyes watching and bodies patrolling the track and show area. It would be best to call one of the numbers listed above to have someone help you get parked. Keep in mind there will be camping going on, so no late, late arrivals please....

IF there is enough participation AND time permitting, the JCAMA is open to having a winner take all/pay one place only class....speed and weight to be announced at the driver's meeting if there is enough interest. If it works out, there is a potential to have a nice purse for the winner...

If the weather is questionable, call above numbers. They will have track covered if there is a chance of showers. The JCAMA will do everything in their power to have this pull. There will be equipment on hand and they can pull from either direction, so unless it's a toad strangler, there will be a show. Will post on this page ASAP if it is cancelled.

Ingram Enterprise Engine and Dyno Service in Campbellsburg, KY has graciously donated $50 cash OR a $100 Dyno voucher to the puller who travels the farthest to attend this pull. Rules for this are: must be a paid participant in at least one class (not a crew member) and possess a valid drivers license showing current address. Mapquest, Google, or like source will be used to verify mileage and if there is a tie, the winners name will be drawn from a hat as a tie breaker.

Don't forget the antique machinery show going on all weekend. Antique pulls Friday night, Live entertainment and horse pulls Saturday. A-C is the featured tractor this year, so let's have some orange represent on Sunday.

Down to just a little more than three weeks away.

JCAMA is putting finishing steps on infrastructure for larger tractors and increased parking.

Looking forward to having a large group of pullers.

Don't forget the machinery show and other entertainment going on that weekend.

Re: First Annual Farm Stock Pull in the Park June 06, 2015 07:19PM
2 weeks away!

JCAMA wants to encourage ALL mph pullers that fit the criteria to attend--Indiana as well as out of state.

Please see jcamach.org for rules and check us out on facebook (Johnson County Antique Machinery Association).

Re: First Annual Farm Stock Pull in the Park June 14, 2015 03:41AM
One week away!

Driver's meeting at 11:45. Pull will start at noon sharp.

Track will be covered in case of showers. There will be equipment at the track to work it back into shape in the event of rain during the event. There is lots of pavement and firm ground, so even if it is damp during the week, there will be plenty of solid parking.

Johnson County Antique Machinery Association website and Facebook have updated directions to get to track.

We had a sponsor come on at the last minute and donate plaques for first place in all six classes.

ALL pullers that comply with the rules are welcome...look forward to seeing everyone there! If you are coming from a ways off, don't forget about the long haul award.

Any questions, feel free to call.

There is a an updated hourly show schedule for the whole weekend on jcamach.org.

There will be church services on Sunday for those who are interested.

Re: First Annual Farm Stock Pull in the Park June 14, 2015 02:04PM
Brad do you have a physical address to punch into gps system for location of pull. Thanks

Re: First Annual Farm Stock Pull in the Park June 14, 2015 02:06PM
sorry didn't see earlier post

Re: First Annual Farm Stock Pull in the Park June 14, 2015 02:27PM
Just got back from a JCAMA meeting. Because the ground used to be part of the base, it doesn't really have a physical address, which is weird...I know ....because there are permanent structures there that the club built. Best bet is the location tab on the club website. It has all kinds of maps and directions.

As mentioned earlier, there will be signs at 31, 252, and Schoolhouse road.

There are two entrances to the club's area.....pullers use south entrance.

As of 8am Saturday morning, we are still a go.

When they uncover the track in a few hours, we'll know what we have.

Start weighing in at 10:15 Sunday morning, drivers meeting at 11:40, pull starts at noon.

Look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

Re: First Annual Farm Stock Pull in the Park June 20, 2015 09:33AM
Pull is on for tomorrow....

Horse pull still on tonight.

Bring dad and buy him an ice cream cone.

Better yet, tell dad to bring his tractor and pull!

Any changes will be posted on here.

Thanks for all those who have called and expressed interest.

Re: First Annual Farm Stock Pull in the Park June 20, 2015 11:57PM
