holley fuel pump April 23, 2015 06:24AM
What holley fuel pump part # are people using when they say blue pump on 13 mm model 100

Look at a Summit Racing or Jegs catalog for a part number. Just FYI, if you have a good 13mm model 100 (450cc or more), that pump won't be adequate.

Probably dumb question would you run a regulator or straight to filter housing

real world test stand results = with a 5 mm camshaft you will need min. 80 psi @ 2.5 gpm. prefer 100 psi . go belt drive. hyper has a nice setup just for that and it works !! best if you have a dual feed hsg. and a good pump builder will use a head with extra charge port holes for better port filling.with a single plunger doing all the work, there is very little time to charge the plunger inlet port,,there is a sprayer pump. 12 volt that will supply the flow and pressure, but it will have a short life in this application

12-802 is the blue. I prefer the black 12-815, but I carry the BigEnd generic version which is much less $, and still made by holley, and has metal blades unlike the procomp knock-offs.

I have a pump you might be interested in the for sale section . A big holley and a big Barry Grant.

that pump will not have near enough flow to supply 13 mm..head seizure is very probable

Re: holley fuel pump April 24, 2015 01:21PM
So what would you recommend on a buget

Re: holley fuel pump April 24, 2015 01:35PM
Aeromotive A1000. May not seem cheap right away, but it'll have the flow, so its cheaper than seizing a head in a 13mm rotary...........

Probably dumb question but would you need regulator or just run it straight to filter housing

The blue Holley electric pump we called it a 110 Holley 110 gallons an hour I think it was more for a gas motor than diesel I ran an external regulator. It would feed two 1150 Dominator 4 barrel carbs truck pulling 614 Ford in the early 1980's. The red 110 Holley had a built in regulator flowed a little less 108 gph worked good with one 4 barrel on my old super stock Dodge 482 cid never ran out of fuel.

Re: holley fuel pump April 25, 2015 01:45AM
on a model 100 you are in need of more psi than gpm this aint your dads gasser

Re: holley fuel pump April 25, 2015 03:45AM
Yes you need to be running 80lbs pressure down the track, put a belt drive pump on and be done with it. 13mm pump takes pressure to work.

Re: holley fuel pump April 25, 2015 03:27PM
The holley pump is for gas only and it's maximum pressure is 14 psi no where near what you need a great pump to feed carbs on race gas none the less.
