Who builds the best rotary for a 2.8 charger? I hear Fair valley builds a good pump but want opinions.

Re: Best 13+mm model 100? March 09, 2016 04:43AM
Harts undoubtedly builds the best m100 rotary. I run one and am extremely satisfied.

Re: Best 13+mm model 100? March 10, 2016 10:25AM
so back on this topic, what are the St. Joes and Sheids pumps putting out for fuel?

Re: Best 13+mm model 100? March 10, 2016 11:14AM
Brian Scott at Prarie Performance.

Re: Best 13+mm model 100? March 10, 2016 01:00PM
I will second Bryan Scott we have had 3 model 100 done by him and always been very pleased.
A great guy to deal with and he will take time and talk to you.
With his system and a good 3LM turbo we was running direct @3000 rpms 466cid 20.8x38 single cut
Radial all tractions and spinning out with the T/A back in 9500-11500 12500-14500 we ran two teeth under direct
I'm sure the are all good pumps but I will go back to Bryan if I ever need another.

The last pump scheid came out with be the one Chris mayhause designed yr or 2 ago. It's 13 mm 570 cc. His dad runs it on his 1466. He ran at gordyville this year I believe he got 2nd. It costs around 3500 I believe is what Chris told me last fall don't quote me on that it's just the number that's stickin in my head.

Re: Best 13+mm model 100? March 11, 2016 02:50AM
But Harts pump got 1st

Re: Best 13+mm model 100? March 13, 2016 01:56AM
Mayhause is also only 466 cubes and what was the limit up there 540 or 600?? I know deere couldn't run the 619. I don't know anything about harts. I'm just tryin to help the guy out. He asked bought scheid and I know scheids, and i just gave him an example of there pump runnin

Re: Best 13+mm model 100? March 11, 2016 03:17AM
The harts my have won the class but you also have to consider who built the motor. ONE OF THE BEST there is more to tractor pulling then the injection pump

Re: Best 13+mm model 100? March 11, 2016 07:48AM
Doesn't hurt that it's 505 ci either....

Re: Best 13+mm model 100? March 10, 2016 10:42AM
Harts are 500-510cc all pumps very.

Re: Best 13+mm model 100? March 10, 2016 10:53AM
Also, the majority of Harts pumps are 13mm. I honestly don't think they build a 15 or 14mm headed pump. But, many say their 13 mm pump is better than a 15mm hyper rotary pump.

Re: Best 13+mm model 100? March 10, 2016 02:35PM
A guy in our club runs the st. Joes pump and it is very strong. I run a harts and him and I went back and forth for spots all summer.

Re: Best 13+mm model 100? March 11, 2016 04:31AM
St Joeph has the biggest rotary out there and there only 2 to 4 built . has to be 600cc plus in fuel

Re: Best 13+mm model 100? March 11, 2016 08:20AM
I think some people forget that what makes a pump 'good' is not just how many cc's it flows. A 15mm rotary is capable of lots of fuel but we all know they are junk. Harts has proved itself on the track for about 4 years now. Some of the other pumps may be good as well but if you want a sure bet for performance and reliability you buy the harts pump and plumb it just like Randy tells you to. Won't be disappointed one bit

Re: Best 13+mm model 100? March 11, 2016 11:05AM
Nothing wrong with hypers 15 just have to plumb it correctly as well.
Most do not. And they do not run the correct lines and injectors.
Even on second hand stuff why are people afraid to call the original builders?

Re: Best 13+mm model 100? March 11, 2016 03:28PM
I think it has to come down to what works best for YOU. Everyone has an opinion and the pump they have is always the best, but what it really comes down to is what you want and how you can make your tractor run. Whether you're flowing 500, 510, 550, etc. will be irrelevant if everything isn't working in harmony. You can make anything run if you work at it enough. Obviously pumps built by certain shops will tend to run better than others in general, but I don't think there is one pump that is the answer to any setup. just my two cents though.

Re: Best 13+mm model 100? March 11, 2016 08:57PM
Any one have a set of 90 stainless lines for sale for a model 100 pump
13 mm

Re: Best 13+mm model 100? March 11, 2016 11:21PM
What do you run for timing on that pump. I take it it sounds like a 3000rpm pump?

Re: Best 13+mm model 100? March 12, 2016 05:20AM
Yep 3000rpms it can range from 28-36 all motors are different

Re: Best 13+mm model 100? March 12, 2016 06:00AM
Who did your engine work on your tractor mamasmoney? Your tractor look like it really runs good. Did you have it dynoed to know where to set your timing?

Re: Best 13+mm model 100? March 12, 2016 08:52AM
snot nose kid, your exctly correct. I have built pumps that flow 520cc , and some I built in the old days that flow 360,etc, and I have seen the lower flowing pumps beat the high output pumps more than once, everything has to work together, its a lot more than getting a lot of fuel in the cylinder, how fast and when you get it in means as much as how many ccs your pump flows, along with many other factors,

Re: Best 13+mm model 100? March 13, 2016 05:14AM
Yep we ran her on the dyno
