I know the 426 head is the go to head in stock form but is there a better head to be porting? Have a "+" head here also. Trying to decide what to put on the 466 going into a 2.8 farm stock tractor. Also is there any difference between an xxxxxx426 C1 and an xxxxxxxx426 C2? I have both, and don't know which route to go. Plus, 426 C1, or 426 C2 |

Off topic, but I have a hypermax recasted head with stock dimensions that I would let go. It is a dry head. Ran it on my to hot to farm tractor. 6 passes since new valves, guides and 140# springs. typically the + head is used for porting for your type of application. |

833 is preferred for porting over the 426. C2 castings have more material than C1 castings in critical areas that were prone to cracking, but port configuration is same. |
