need some help with turbo size

Hi I have Ford 9600 farm stock. I had injection pump redone with 10.5 mm plungers with ground cam in the pump also with injectors that have 5x20 tips and .093 lines. Pump is now putting out 400 cc of fuel and I don't know what turbo will work on it. Right now it has a t-04 on it. Does anyone know? |

A good starter turbo that's cheap I'd go with a 3lm. It's very easy to spool and to stay on top of. The one I bought last spring from scheid was around 600 but had a good sized core charge. And all they want for the core is a 3 in turbo, it doesn't have to be a 3lm |

Hx50 or s300, the center sections are alot better. 3lm center sections are weak and won't take much. But I guess it depends on your rules. |

HX50 would work good. I used an HX52 on a similar setup, with a little bigger motor. I liked the 52 a lot. Came on strong at about 1800 RPM, and I never burned it up like I did my 3LM. |

Been there

I'll give another vote for an HX-50. I think a good 50 will make more power than a 3LM. More tourque in my experience. We have ran both and I'd skip the 3LM and go with a 50. |

Yes, we run one on a 466ci 12000 altered farm tractor with a rotary pump. Never pulled anything slower then road gear last season. Even turned 2 over on a couple softer tracks |

Like everyone else said, skip the antique 3LM. Go with with either a S300 based charger like a S362 to S366 or find a HX50/52. Personally I'm a fan of the HX52 with the 16cm exhaust housing, swapped out a 3LM466 that people tout so highly for a HX52 with no other changes on a 466 rotary pump Deere. Went from powering out on the big end to spinning out with almost no smoke. |

Have 8000 ford, 12mm simms, quick cam in pump, 456 with reground cam and valve reliefs, s366 runs good. But looking for bigger turbo, lots of smoke, pump turned way back. Think something like s400, gt42 what size would work.? |
