D312 d360 crank
|
Hello, I am wanting to put a d360 ag crank in my 666 ih. It will be a n/a puller. I have the 312 engine already with flywheel. I am wondering if the 312 flywheel will work for the 360 crank? I am not going to be spinning more than 2800rpm (class rules). I would use the stock 360 flywheel, but it will not fit in the bell housing as I understand. |

The 312 flywheel will bolt right up to your 360 crank |

Awesome, another question, when running 4 1/8" bore pistons, if I run them with the 360 crank, do you guys use the truck 360 rods? Or should I just do the 312 crank and 4 1/8" pistons? |

If it's going to be a puller then please just spend a little extra money and put a steel flywheel in. it's really cheap insurance to make sure that nobody gets hurt from a cast flywheel coming apart. |

As I understand your concern for safety, it is definitely in the planning, but didn't know for sure. I'm not really willing to part with the 312 crank yet, but may be interested in some pistons from the 361. I see that the 312 stroke is very close to the 361, so I am wondering of you could just use those pistons for the 312? Could a guy just mill the tops of the pistons? |

What is the compression distance of the 806 pistons vs the d312 and d360? |
