I am having some trouble deciding what engine to build for a 3x3 hot farm class, I already have a 466 with an a pump in my 4320, but I am wanting to go with a p pump. now my question is do I get the block I have machined to accept the p pump? or go with a 466 p pump or an 8.1 I have a lead on both p pump engines, just not sure which way to go any advice would be greatly appreciated |

Sell me your 4320 and go build/buy another one. I've been looking for a 4320 w/A-pump and 466. We can't run P-pumps here in Northeastern Pa.. Wimmer (spelling?) builds real good A-pumps which some Interstate pullers run in all classes. |

Motor could be for sale depending on what I do but has anyone built an 8.1 for a hot farm class? What pistons do you run being that the factory ones tend to debond? |

You can put 4 3/4" bore pistons/sleeves in an 8.1 and make it a 540 ci, what is your cubic inch limit? |

What pistons is everyone running? Hyper max? And do they make a set to run dry block? What clearances are needed 15? 18? Factory? |

I have an 8.1 set up to run 466 hot farm. It was built by Joe Busch it has hardened Rods Ross pisons external oil pump plus more. I have all the paperwork for it. The moter only has a couple runs on it. We bought it a few years ago with the intentions of building a new tractor but got to busy farming. Call or text me if your interested.(608) 290-0105 |
