JD 4450 15 speed powershift slipping September 17, 2017 05:23AM
Anyone have any luck getting a 15 speed power shift to hold 400 hp? Trans. was rebuilt by a reputable shop, pressure is set @ 200 psi. Holds in 11th gear, slips in 12th and 13th gear.

put the psi at 400 plus. It will hold.

I was going to try higher trans. pressure but was always told the filter retaining bolt stretches and the filter packing blows out just over 200 psi. What are you using for a bolt? Thanks.

Probably not the transmission its the dampner on the flywheel

15 speed trans. doesn't have a dampener, C1 and C2 are bolted to the flywheel.

If I recall correctly the C2 shaft acts as the damper. It's the hollow shaft that acts as the damper either C1 or C2. Pretty sure it's C2

Here is your answer.
Go to You Tube & type in '' Becker's Buck 4055 '' it is a 15 speed power shift.

Been watching this tractor since I saw the video & have seen it pull in Northwestern Wisconsin.
He might tell you what he did . But I'm am thinking he will want some $ to tell you.

it shifts pretty well but at Glenwood City,shifting clutch packs,-- it stopped and then jumped,doesn't always work,he has spent a ton and a half on it

I know as I type this someone will have a come back. That's fine. But you have to remember what is next to read.

So he spent a lot of money. Who cares it's his money !! He worked for it !!

How many that pull around Wisconsin or any place have not ?

You can pull in Pro Farm , Improved Farm & Farm Stock & spend a lot of money?

This subject was on here before about this 4055 & the guy that owns it.

I personally was at Glenwood City.

My question is - How many Internationals can shift 3 times?

As I remember the 4055 won both classes.

there will always be some one some where to out talk,out spend,out pull and out bs you, different colors for different folks,all good. Sports are a show for the fun,camaraderie,friendship and more, -- energy spent,time used,relaxing,enjoyment. "LOOK WHAT I DID" !!!
