What are the advantages and disadvantages of a tube frame vs a channel frame other than weight? |

Depends on class and weight. For an ag chassis im not sure there is much difference unless its a light class then weight and strength. |

Id spend my money on dyno time and good engine parts before I worried about my frame. 50hp on the dyno will shine more than some fancy frame on a hot farm tractor. |

Round tube is stronger than square tube. For sheer strength purposes, always use round tube. Weight wise, for a heavier weight class, the weight you save isn't worth it. In a light class where you're scraping to get every last pound of movable weight, pounds are like gold. In a bug weight class, I'd do channel and as said above, spend the money you save in the motor. |
