IH 1066 Hot Farm Needing More Fuel August 04, 2018 02:27PM
Hi,

I’m currently running a big injection pump, big lines, big injectors, pushing fuel into injection pump, and still very little smoke. I figured I would have tons of coal but not so much. Tractor still runs great and is a top 3 tractor most nights. Any help would be appreciated.

What is your timing ? You may not be far enough advanced to get fuel when you need it. What do you call a big pump ? How many cc ? What size turbo ? A lot of un-knowns to be able to help you.

Are you running stock tank? If so you may need to open up the breather hole on the cap some. This bit me once.

Timing is 22,

Pump was suppose to be 540 cc but I didn't trust my first injection guy. ( Might have answered my own question )

13mm lines,

4x24 injectors,

3LM turbo,

3150 RPM

Make sure your pump is not just turned down. 540cc is enough to get a solid black cloud of smoke with a 3lm. Also if your pump intervance is locked out then you need to be around 28-34 degrees of timing.

Sounds like you dont really know what you have. Probably dealing with the wrong fuel shop that loves taking your money. Try wimmers or shied and spend your money good the first time
