Helmet Purchase

I am wanting to buy new full face helmet for pulling and am confused on safety specs ratings. Probably pull all 3 major associations and they appear to have different specs. Outlaws sayDOT approved or SFI spec 41.2. PPL says Snell 90 or SFI spec 31.1, 31.2, 41.1, or 41.2. What in world do I need? Most helmets say Snell 2015. What do I need? Thanks for the help! |

Stay away from DOT. Its more for impact.
Either Snell 2010 or 2015 would work. |

The 2015 certified helmets are into their third year of certification. If you find a helmet with a 2010 SNELL sticker, that means that helmet is probably over four years old. Only get a helmet with a 2015 SNELL sticker. Also, every reputable helmet will have a date of manufacture sticker somewhere close to the SNELL label. JW |
