Water Injection Systems - 12 volt

Is there 12 volt water injection pump or system available that can deliver high pressure to 8 nozzles?? I had a pump from Staab, worked good but needed more pressure. If so, who has it and how much??
Thank you! |

Mark Colberg has a good 12v system. |

Use the Staab pump if it worked for you. |

HEY GREASE MONKEY...THE POST STATES THAT IT WORKED WELL BUT NEEDS MORE PRESSURE |

Is it possible or reasonable to pressurize the water tank with turbo boost and then use an electric pump to help push the water? This approach would require a solenoid valve to prevent water injection under low boost conditions.
Thanks Rich |

Reply to RCP, In most rule books it states "NO PRESSURIZED TANKS ALLOWED" ! This might apply to the idea you had about using boost to pressurize the water tank. Guess you would have to ask your Tech Man. |

Good point, of course the tank wouldn't be pressurized until the engine was running.

That’s almost 1 gallon in 15 seconds, very few high pressure pumps flow over 3gpm, what you are asking is close to 4gpm, I doubt you ever get an electric pump to keep up with that volume and maintain pressure. |

I've seen some guys run 2 high pressure electric pumps before but it's a plumbing mess and takes a lot of power to run 2 pumps |

Common Sense

Here’s a thought throw the electric away and go with a proven boost activated valve (Simpson Hyper) way more bullet proof especially if you add a pressure switch with a light |

Common sense?

Last time I checked electric pumps can run off a boost activated switch and you can add a pressure switch with a light so I’m not sure what your trying to say. On the other hand that’s quit a bit of water for an electric to be able to handle efficiently. |
