What is the strongest IH castings to use for a LLSS |

706 is definitely the strongest, but will be expensive to get light enough, next would be either the 560 or 656/666. |

560 is larger than the 656/666/686 and you can use a larger clutch with it. |

im confused ,,, if the 656 and 460 bell housing is smaller than the 560 ,,,, so some people say to use the 560 so u can run a bigger clutch ,,,,,,,,, well my covered in red ,, I upgraded from a 10 " to a 11" 4 disc crower ……….. how much more clutch do you want ……. by the way my 10 worked perfectly fine and barley ever even adjusted ,,,,,,,, but the 11 is more standard |

This has always been my question, but I always figured there are people out there that know a whole lot more about it than me. My 10 1/2" Mcleod clutch seems to hold just fine. |

I'm using a 3 disk pulling clutch, they quit making them a few years ago, but there are some other places making the same thing still. Trav's 4x4 performance can set you up with one. |

I agree a 11 inch 4 disk clutch works fine in my tractor. |

According to Tractordata, 560 shipping weight from 6563 to6785, 656 from 6250 to 7230. |
