Deere 5020 / 619 swap

After searching through about 25 pages of search results, I am just going to ask. I am getting my fathers 5020 back running again after the engine managed to get filled with rainwater and freeze. I have sourced a 619 from a 860B scraper and am swapping manifolds while I am waiting on the clutch to get rebuilt. The tractor was turbocharged before the 531 block froze and busted. It had a 3LM-299 from a 6030 but it is in need of being rebuilt. The TV6125 from the 619 is blowing oil. I am looking for a charger to put back on and am familiar with the HX55 and S475 which I also see for sale often on CL and marketplace. What is a good turbo to put back on for around 400 horsepower or so? Will a 475 with a 1.10 housing work or is it too big? Thanks for the help! |

I ran a s400 with good luck, but your weakest link is the headgasket. So if you are going to consistently run more than 300 horse you may want to fire ring the liners. Than the next weakest is the timing gears. Just my opinion and experience |

Are you interested in selling the 860B exhaust manifold? Give me a call at 319 404 5146 if so. |

A 75mm turbo is definitely too big for only 400hp. BorgWarner P/N 169012 could be a good option. It’s a 2.5x3 turbo, with this size you can easily get 400hp and still have a good low end power. Good luck. |
