Overdrive 4630 Deere 2 Speed June 30, 2019 12:04PM
I have a late 4630 Deere that I will be splitting this winter. While I am in it, I would like to convert the two speed to an overdrive. I have verified that the 4630 and 4430 use the same carrier and gears but the clutches are slightly different.

I just got done putting a complete 4440 2 speed in a 4430 and it turned out great.

My question is, can I just put the 4440 gears in the 4630 carrier to get overdrive? Or would I need to use the whole 4440 2 speed and have someone beef up the clutch pack?

Looks like I may just need AR79517 and AR79516?

Yes you can just put the 2 center gears in it and flip the 3 sun gears you already have around the problem is finding just those 2 gears. Most of the straight cut gears have been picked through. The helical cut gears are easy to find.

I have a set of the 2 Speed Straight cut gears if you need.
