I am going to build a 466ci diesel to Badger State class. Pros and cons of building a dry engine? |

Pro-no risk of water in oil or oil in water, saves the bearings if the head gasket were to blow during the run
Con-if you have to pull twice its harder to cool the motor down so you'llt lose some performance I went dry block a couple years ago, it was a good choice. Alot less to worry about and alot less maintenance/moving parts to have to deal with |

It is actually better not to fill the block or head.
By not filling it allows for expansion and contraction and lowers the risk of cracking (at least what I have been told) |
