Does anyone know if some one out there makes steel lifters for a case 504 motor I keep breaking the stock cast ones. |

What rpm and spring pressure are you running? I’m building a 504 and don’t wanna run into this problem. |

I had a set of tool steel dlc coated flat tappets custom built at trend performance. Then Paired with a no limit tool steel cam for my Allis. 200lb seat pressure. 5000rpm 65psi boost, no issues |

We run in a hot farm class leave the line around 4500 rpm my spring pressure is 400 pounds. I keep snapping the head of the lifter off right we're the 4 oil drain holes are at |
400 lbs spring!!
|
Wonder why?
|
Just curious why you need 400 lbs of spring pressure? That's certainly not helping the broken parts issue. Just wondering why? |

At that rpm and spring pressure I would for sure go roller. The builders I’ve spoke to say they only build roller engines anymore. My cam supplier told me with flat Tappet run high zinc conventional oil. Not synthetic they said it’s too thin to proper lubricate in between the lobe and lifter face. |
