S200 series turbo on lower cubic inch engines 3000 rpm
|
Anyone out there running a S200 series turbo on a smaller cubic inch engine like 361 IH or 401 Ford? 404 Deere. 3000 rpm classes have tried S360 and 3LM with welded exhaust housing and the S360 with the .83 exhaust housing still seeing it snub quickly when load starts to hit and fall below 2700RPMs. |

How many cubes are you and how much fuel are you capable of? I’m running one on a 404 deere with great results with .83 exhaust housing. |

361 cubes. Running 330cc fuel maxed out now. I mean it lights quick and is an animal at 3000rpms but as soon as start to come off of 3000 RPMs it snubs no lug at all. I’ve tried timing all over as well my psi on both intake and exhaust are within 4psi of each other on load |

I had this exact problem this last season. I have an s200 with an .83 housing on a d360. it would be an animal on top but no lug to it when pulled down just abit. I had a slightly ported head and a 3000 rpm hot farm cam. I tried 2 different cams and ended up going back to a stock cam and head with good results. It lugs good now |

The tractor has the stock cam and stock head everything has been rebuilt tho since this post I put the S360 back on tractor I used a smaller crossover pipe and a welded up single scroull housing instead of the twin and it seems to Field test very very good will see on the track this weekend |
