|
I know this has been asked before but here goes. I have a 466 block thats bored for 4-5/8” sleeves and an ih 5.75” crankshaft so can i use case pistons and sleeves in this motor and if so what rods do i use? Can i use factory rids n mill off the top of pistons. This is for a nautrally asperiated diesel antique puller |

I did this same setup many years ago, use the big pin 407 rods (1456), and the small pin 504 Case pistons (2090, 2290), and works out well. |

Thanks for the help. Those pistons will work with 407 rods and the stroked 5.75 crank? If so i have the rods ill just need 504 pistons and sleeves |

You will have to mill the pistons some to get correct deck height if I remember correctly, and re-do your valve reliefs depending on the lift of your cam... |
