Triple bypass big cubic inch? July 28, 2022 03:24AM
I know triple bypass now how’s a chaos block and there was a lot of talk about being big cubed last year but I know they had the same engine in it from the past couple years then kicked a rod at BG and had that same engine at the NFMS my question is how many cubes are they now with the new block that thing had a complete different tone at Norwalk sounded like a pro stock is he now 640? I would put money on being bigger then 540ci

If they still plan on running Diesel Super Stock with NTPA they have to be 540.

I thought you could be big cube 3 chargers. Or is that an old, now non existent rule?

Re: Triple bypass big cubic inch? July 28, 2022 06:33AM
540 is the limit in dss thats why i dont understand how there was a pro stock pulling in the dss class at tomah.

The rule book states "Prostock tractors are allowed to compete, under their own division rules and regulations (excluding weight), in Heavy Super Stock classes at all levels"

Wasn’t Smokin Mirrors and The Special big cubes? Trying to remember when rules changed. And thought you could run a pro stock in DSS on 24.5s

Yes, John Raymond was running the big cubes. Talked to him in the spring and he's slowly getting a 540 motor put together.

The Special was a three charger volume setup different than Esdon's 4 charger high pressure setup that's why the Special needed to be screaming at launch time so as to keep up the volume, thats what I read.

Ross is listed on the NTPA DSS free entry list.

So I have been curious on what cubes Triple Bypass is. But I have heard them make the comment multiple times that it is a USS tractor. PPL USS rules say 650 cubes and diesel is an option for fuel.

I thought NTPA DSS was 540cu with 3 stages or 640 with 2 charger stages?

Re: Triple bypass big cubic inch? July 30, 2022 01:57AM
It’s under 540 cu.
