Compression is going to be pretty low with a 55 series head and 40 series pistons, may need ether to start. To run regular injectors in the 55 series head you want to drill the injector holes to 9 mm |

Would you actually see performance gain with the loss of compression? And would the spray pattern be different on a smaller tip injectors? |

This actually is a good combination as long as the head is pretty much stock port and valve size. Yes it will lower your compression to approximately 14:1or 15:1 and may take a squirt of ether to start. To utilize the combo fully, you will need another cam other than stock. Drilling the head to accept the injectors isn't a big deal. |
