2023 Midwest Winter Nationals Entry update September 28
We had our first class fill up. The 12,000 King of 15mph is currently full at this time. Those still interested please do the registration, the program will automatically waitlist you without payment. If we decide to add more spots, we will move those on the waitlist to confirm and process your payment at that time. Classes that are close to full: 1,950 Econo Mini Rod: 6 spots left 8,700 Limited Pro Stock/9,500 Super Farm 6 spots 8,000 Limited Pro Stock Diesel Trucks: 7 spots 12,000 Farm Stock: 7 spots left 9,500 Hot Farm: 9 spots left All but 3 classes have entries so far. Here are the rules & class updates for the 2023 Midwest Winter Nationals: 6,500 Light Limited Super Stock will have new rules for 2023. They can be found under the rules section on whatssmokin.net. Highlights include: 370 alcohol single 3 x 4 smooth & 470 c.i.d. diesel 3.4” turbo =6,500# 410 single 3 x 4 smooth with cooler, 315 twin 3 x 4 smooth with cooler, 360 twin 3 x 4 smooth without cooler =6,700# This is our effort to try to blend all the orginizations into one class. We feel this should give everyone a fair playing field when taking into consideration the different combinations of turbos, fuel, and weight across the board. NEW Class for 2023: 8,700 Limited Pro Stock (MOD Turbo)/9,500 Super Farm. . 9,000 Light/Limited Pro Stock will follow IPL & OSTPA rules for 2023 Edited 2 time(s). I think that 3.4 turbo is too much at 6500, it's ok at 6000, maybe like 6300lbs for the 3.4 turbos. |

Remember this is indoors (smoke tube).
Advertised weights, are including indoor stack extensions. Not a true apples to apples, with outdoor pulling (weights). They build power tracks, even though they have moved venues and and changed the marketing (a gordiville gear, is still a thing). Stick with the plan. |

The guys with the 3.4 470 pretty much in the WTPA in Wisconsin have been doing very well even over the 410 cooler with map ring. I don't think this would be any different , especially the guys running smooth bore 410 cooler even with extra 200. I would rather see a one size turbo rule at the same weight. Edited 1 time(s).
