Just setting up a new tractor LLSS on Alcohol. 370ci . What size hilborn pump should I be looking for ? Thanks

Not sure what you are asking. Main by-pass, Idle circuit plus two additional stages. (3 stage system).

PG-175B-4 pump is about $700. Seems like it flows about 12 gpm if I remember correctly.

I think the -4 is 15gpm and the -2 is12 gpm

Don't know for sure, but I thought it was the other way around, I could be wrong, but I thought 0 flowed more and the bigger the number the smaller the flow. Like I said I don't know for sure. I know guys in LLSS that run 2 and 4, I run a 2. Some also run the Watermans like the LSS only smaller, and there is a new either 990 or 1100 from Kinsler or Enderle that should work well. Genes Machine Shop is a great place to get anything you need and also they can get close to the combo your engine needs just from you telling them what setup you fun.

A good -2 is about11.5 to 12 gpm and the -4 is about 15. I too thought the original answerer would have to run some type of bypass off the pump. The Enderle 990 is about equivalent to the -2 and the 1100 is about equivalent to the -4 if memory serves me right. JW

Enderle 990 15GPM = PG175-4 Hilborn
Enderle 1100 17.2 GPM
Enderle 1200 18.8 GPM

My Hilborn PG175-4 flowed in the 18 gpm range. (4000 pump rpm,,,,8000 engine rpm).
If I had it to do over, I would get a Waterman. More efficient (more gpm) at lower rpm than HIlborn or Enderle.

get a PG 250 - 5 Hilborn if you want more gpm at the same rpm.
It's not a matter of manufacturer but the pump model used....
