Altered Farm / Farm Stock turbo size?? January 07, 2023 01:32AM
I have an oddball project that I am working on for the summer and I need recommendations. I have a 4.7L (4.33x4.92) 4 cylinder that I am adding a turbo to. I plan to be in the 3000rpm range with a decent amount of fuel. What size turbo would be good to start with? This will be a puller only. I was looking into something similar to a HX40 with a small housing but with a beefier shaft in it. Any thoughts?

I think maybe s257sxe 75/61, s300 60/68 with 360 bearing housing or the s362sxe 62/68, depending on the amount cc’s of fuel and how well the head flows.

How many cc’s of fuel?

Not sure on fuel yet. FVP referred me to Zips and I am calling them this week for injectors. This is a Euro tractor and pump parts are going to be limited until I figure out how to mount a 4cyl P7100 to it. I do not believe that I will ever get enough to run a S362. I have been eyeing the S300.

Ok, what style of pulling, open speed or mph?
The specs. between the s360 and s362sxe are pretty close in size. Play with turbo maping, borg warners match bot helps some.
