Not looking for argument but why don’t they just mix light pro into the 5in class. Allow components Max turbo 5” and do away with the box turbo. Personal not a fan of box turbo part. Just seems like they have 2 of the same classes now. |

10000 component 680 any pump 5.0 is equivalent to 8500 cast 540 P pump, and for sake of argument 6.0?

How bout we just throw both the light pro and the 4.1 out the window and have all the orgs go whole hog on the 5.0 pro.
Make it 9000lbs call it light pro. You’d have heavy/light mod, heavy/light super, and heavy light pro. Be the best thing to happen to pulling in a long time. And I agree, no box turbo. |

In my opinion the llss should be the lt pro.truely a light single charger class with variety..all those listed classes are 466+ classes,8500 lbs or heavier that isn't light..lol |

A 4.1 limited pro is closer to a 5.0 pro than a light pro is.... My prediction is the 5.0 class will consume the 4.1 class on some parts of the country. |

All Light Pros are limited to a 4.5" exhaust wheel. Put in after 2018 season. Western Series and Outlaws(?) have put in a 5" intake wheel limit for their light pros. |

I know for a fact a light pro on average is 400-500 hp more in my dyno. |

The question was, what was the HP difference between ALL 3. I do know Light pros are 4 to 500 over limited pros but I find it hard to believe that the Light Pro is more than 5.0 pros. Just saying. |

4.1 is 400-500hp less than a light pro. Both top built motors. I have not done a top built 5in yet but I’m
Guess guessing it’s probably 250-300hp then light pro and 700-800 better than 4.1 |

Just my thought. Think it would be best all around to make 5.0 class 640 cube so all three classes could go together and have more than just bbjd. |

5” pro is 3000-3200
Lt pro is 2750-3000 Lim Pro is 2300-2500 One is component two are not. One class is growing two are not. |

Not necessarily a fair summation of growth. Is anyone building a brand new 5.0? I doubt it. Growth is coming at the expense of 4.1, LPS, and PS. Those 5.0s have to come from somewhere.
I've come around to seeing the need at below the GN level for 5.0 to be a thing, but man are there too many classes anymore. CP |

What constitutes new 5.0”? If lim pro and light pro guys are switching, they’re building new chassis. Lt pro owners are building new motors. The fact is there wasn’t a need for a new class just a need for component chassis. Their ag chassis are not reliable at these horse power levels. There are too many disconnects resulting in engine failures for guys to stick around in these two divisions. Lt & limited pro pullers are tired of spending more money to keep an ag chassis going than what a more reliable component would cost. Either cut them back on power, give them components, or watch those two classes become all IH red as they fall to their death. |

There’s no need at all for component chassis in light pro. Learn to drive them and and figure out setups. Put the right parts in them and you have no issues. Most guys have put the good billet rear ends in and run profab or atlasmax trans. Build them right and shouldn’t have any issues. And as far as limited prostocks cut their weight back. Do they really need 9500? Will be interesting to see how many of them go to 5.0 prostocks. |

Light pros in the beginning should of had a 4.1turbo or 13mm pump limit with ag chasis. Current HP levels in my opinion justify a component chasis. |

Why should someone spend $30-$50k on an ag chassis when you could build something far superior for less? IH guys control the narrative in these two classes. If they don’t see the need, nobody should. It’s now causing the classes to fall apart. |
