Cummins cam March 11, 2023 10:57PM
On a 6.7.
Will a rear gear train cam, that has the bolt on gear, work in a front gear train motor ?
Thinking over drilling the holes a bit would provide some adjustment.
And could use those bolts to make a flange to drive a distributor.
Are the lobes ground right so it can be just turned around and still be usable?

There is no provision for a gear on the front of a rear gear cam

Can ya just turn it around ?
Bearings and lobes should be in same place front to back.

the rotation would be the same, but grind not made to go backwards.

The valve sequence will be off if you swap ends with it.
