Pro Stock question March 30, 2023 04:36AM
How much moveable weight do most Pro Stocks have now? With component chassis, if there is at least 500 or 1,000 lbs of ballast, what would be the ramification of dropping the weight to 9,500 or even 9,000 lbs?

Re: Pro Stock question March 30, 2023 10:22AM
not when everything everyone has is on the front end. no way you could drop the weight

No way to drop weight, it was not A Problem several yrs ago before bigger better turbos, HP and heads, don't say they can't drop weight, - something needs to keep @#$%& in perspective.NHRA has had to do it, now they have surpassed the speeds before the limits. We ARE going to see more and more failures, blow ups, and accidents, as we have out grown many safety features. Lower weights, hitches and ect. are free, very easily implemented.

How many 10,000 lb pro stocks still have 1,000-2,000 lbs mounted under the center of the rearends? Used to about all of them did, but I'm sure with modern tire & horsepower technology some, or most of that has been moved up front?

Why doe everybody want to change pro stock its the best class to watch. first its the cub e there to big then its the turbo
the other week it was the tires now its the weight the class is perfect the way it is. i think the challenge is pretty good to
get all that power to the track with that size tire the more power they make the more its going to be a driver class not a power
class strictly.
