Do you need lube with VP diesel? If so what does everyone use? |

Agree on the need for it. Discussed with several on both the mechanical side and the common-rail side who add lube to it.

Nope

You do not need to add anything at all especially if you are running in a class where VP is the spec fuel. It is simply not necessary. Ask around in the pits at a pull and you’ll find that anyone that claims VP doesn’t have lubricity got told from either an engine builder that had bad luck one time with a pump that was probably on its way out to begin with or a pump shop that wanted an easy excuse for something failing. |

OH MY !

Lube has never hurt anything, dry friction certainly does. |

Dirty friction certainly isn't good especially when it's not pre lubricated |

Send in a fuel sample. That will answer your question. |
