I think it would work if you are ready and able to do your own work and make parts. Probably not a lot of custom parts already designed. I talked to a guy in the Ky area that ran Superstock with a 2840 in the 90s, so I’d imagine it’s strong enough.
For a 3000 RPM class I think you are going to want to stroke a 329 with a 414 crank and a custom smaller piston rather than drop in a 359. The 414 crank is not going to just drop in though, or depending upon your rules decube a 414. |

I built a 360 with 6068 crank and small bore.
I also think with the right parts the 2940 rear would be fine if done right. Stick a pro fab in front of rearend possibly. |
