NASOA and sled changes: Anyone else seen this? September 30, 2024 12:30AM
While looking at facebook, something popped up for a pulling team's facebook page and their offseason.

Someone posted this, and I was curious if anyone else has heard similar things;
(abridged to relevant part)
"NASOA and promoters are looking to heavier sleds possibly due to "race" sleds can't stop unlimited and pro stock tractors in a safe distance."

Has anyone heard rumblings about sled changes? I will say it's silly we cannot run a class any more without the winner ending up at the cornfield.

This just in, sleds stop everything mentioned in 245 feet at Freedom Hall twice per year. Next.

That comment is from a guy with a garden tractor sled, I wouldn't take that to the bank. The big boy sled owners & operators are fine.

where did you see that. We did not post anything about that. If someone posted it in comments that not us.

Dale, it was in the comments under one of your recent posts and not you, or anyone from your team.

That guy that made that comment is so far out in left field when it comes to pulling. He’s always posting things that are complete made up nonsense.

The sleds are never fully loaded for pro stock and often times have room for at least a nose weight on unlimited if not more. Regardless Charles nailed it with his comment.

HMMM. once again, a post got deleted... its ok to beat around the bush and say what happened, but evidently not ok to call Richard Swank out by name.... I see no issue with my post. all it was saying was.... know-it-all Richard swank running his hole again, dude thinks he knows everything about anything. I'd believe it if it came from Logan Thomas... once again. calling people out by name must be a crime. such a shame the times we live in.

Not sure or why it was deleted, did you sign your name to the post?

I deleted it. You were bashing an individual and you didn't have the integrity to put your name on it. You hide behind a fake name while you trashed someone else (as you also did in the post I quoted).

Calling someone out by name isn't a crime, but doing it anonymously and then trashing them is cowardly. Grow a set and post your name if you're going to personally trash someone else. You're right when you said "such a shame the times we live in" because it wasn't that long ago when people would have the guts/integrity/fortitude to put their name behind their comments rather than hide. It's a very simple rule for this page and it's been that way for 27 years.... it's not new.

This page is a free service. The cost is covered out of my pocket. It takes a great deal of time and a fair amount of money to keep this website going. Donations for: photos, classified ads, forum discussion, etc... are appreciated.

Side Note: We are no longer accepting PayPal donations. They have changed their terms of service and stated they would fine PayPal users for spreading "misinformation" and "hate, violence, racial or other forms of intolerance that is discriminatory". PayPal did not provide definitions for some of these vague terms. Woke corporate policies regarding "misinformation" could result in an automatic fine of $2,500 which would have been removed directly from the customer’s PayPal account. PayPal did backdown from some of their policies but quietly implemented portions of them in later terms of service. A financial institute has no right to monitor social media accounts or speech. This is unacceptable and I'll no longer do business with PayPal.
