If he wasn’t wearing it technically yes, but they don’t always catch it or enforce it , on a side note what was Brian Miller disqualified for ? |

Yes, Jason Miller hit the chalk. Too bad because he was on a pretty nice pass.
As for the neck brace... I'm guessing nobody on the track noticed it. Jake Morgan Owner, PULLOFF.COM Independent Pulling News This page is a free service. The cost is covered out of my pocket. I will have to say, I could not be happier with the top three in the PS class. |

Never considered that a disqualifying offense. I've forgot to put on my neck brace before and was basically reminded to not forget next time and that was it. |

My biggest surprise was the red tractor with the intake pipe outside of the hood pointing towards the crowd. I understand they have the containment device on the intake side like the containment device on the exhaust side, but a blown compressor wheel being shredded when hitting the containment device with 125 PSI or more blowing all that compressor wheel trash at the crowd is not a good thing. The intake pipe should point forward, or up. Perhaps the best would be keep it under the hood, or up if out of the hood. |

The pipe on Cruisin' Mule is no longer functional. It is there as a throwback to how it used to look, but doesn't do anything. It is not connected to the turbo and in any case, raincap style shutoffs have been illegal for years.

Wouldn't the motor eat a blown compressor wheel instead of blowing it out towards the crowd? |

Compressor wheels have come out through the hood/grill in the past. In fact, Tomcat spit the compressor wheel out the front of the hood and under the stands last year here at the NFMS.
That said, Charles is completely correct, the intake is just for show. It's just part of the look that Bill Miller has had for decades. There are ton's of cool little details on that tractor if you start looking: shifters on the column, hand holds on the fenders, etc... it's one of the really cool unique things about that tractor. CPR,
I don't know about that...why were they spraying either into it if it's not the real intake? I'm pretty sure I saw them doing that after they were hooked to the sled. I don't really care either way...just an observation. S'no Farmer |

I'm pretty sure it's just a hole in the side of the hood. It's not a pipe connected to the turbo. No different than people spraying ether through a grill (but probably pretty convenient to spray ether) Jake Morgan Owner, PULLOFF.COM Independent Pulling News This page is a free service. It is an open pipe, but doesn't connect to anything.
