Looking to put a 4 bbl on a 570 cube non turbo gasser. Have a 9 stromberg on it now, it turns 5000 rpm but isn't much good under 2000. Would a 850 cfm work good or too small or too big? Really don't want any more rpm, would be happy with less if it hold better under a load. |

( cubic inch X max rpm) / 3456 = cfm.this will get you in the ball park |

to big 750 is plenty for that amount of cubes turning 5000 rpm |

Thanks, any insite on intake runner size or length for optimal mean gas speed? |

Would need number of cylinders, bore/stroke, intake and exhaust valve sizes and lift, cam specs and at least some idea of head layout. Velocity would have to be different between a low port vs raised runners.
Length from plenum to valve head could be around 14 3/4" at 5k for a close ballpark. |

Sweet. I dint know anyone else was running 4bbl carbs. Where are you running(if dont want to say then what state)
We have a couple of 460 farmalls running 4bbl carbs. |
