Looking to put a 4 bbl on a 570 cube non turbo gasser. Have a 9 stromberg on it now, it turns 5000 rpm but isn't much good under 2000. Would a 850 cfm work good or too small or too big? Really don't want any more rpm, would be happy with less if it hold better under a load.

( cubic inch X max rpm) / 3456 = cfm.this will get you in the ball park

to big 750 is plenty for that amount of cubes turning 5000 rpm

Thanks, any insite on intake runner size or length for optimal mean gas speed?

Would need number of cylinders, bore/stroke, intake and exhaust valve sizes and lift, cam specs and at least some idea of head layout. Velocity would have to be different between a low port vs raised runners.

Length from plenum to valve head could be around 14 3/4" at 5k for a close ballpark.
