Re: Muscoda, WI, Backtop pull, rules and classes.Hot April 07, 2010 11:21AM
what is the tire size for 5500 antique? is antique 1958 and older?

Re: Muscoda, WI, Backtop pull, rules and classes.Hot April 07, 2010 11:46AM
did you mean 16.9x28 and or 15.5x38 for antique?

Re: Muscoda, WI, Backtop pull, rules and classes.Hot April 07, 2010 12:39PM
i thought antique tractor the tire size was 16/9 /28 and 15/5 /38 that was agred at the reedstown i will not if it is 18-4 i will not have on competing

Re: Muscoda, WI, Backtop pull, rules and classes.Hot April 08, 2010 04:12PM
AsIread thelast post I say somonehelp this guyout abit! I for say who cares run the big tire on blacktop isn't going to help prob will hurt the lighter class. I pull a heavier farm tractor and we throw the 18.4 38 back on instead of the 20.8 to get more ground pressure on the tire butwhatdoIknow!

Re: Muscoda, WI, Backtop pull, rules and classes.Hot April 07, 2010 12:42PM
18.4 28s-18;4 38s tires is as big as they go run the tires u want as long as no bigger than 18.4s nothing bigger than 38"

Re: Muscoda, WI, Backtop pull, rules and classes.Hot April 07, 2010 03:51PM

Re: Muscoda, WI, Backtop pull, rules and classes April 08, 2010 02:54PM

Re: Muscoda, WI, Backtop pull, rules and classes April 08, 2010 03:06PM
thinking 3 mph pace and all the sand bagging they want.

Re: Muscoda, WI, Backtop pull, rules and classes.Hot April 09, 2010 07:04AM
what do you call big cube? masseys and minnies come with big cube. are these guys going to get to pull?

Re: Muscoda, WI, Backtop pull, rules and classes.Hot April 09, 2010 12:31PM
all are welcome mm;s massey; ih; jds ;case ; na 18.4 tires ;2750 rpm must look like a stock farm, tractor ;bring them we will pull them IF they are like the above rules .

Re: Muscoda, WI, Backtop pull, rules and classes.Hot April 09, 2010 01:30PM
Why have a speed limit in the antique class when you allow "all the sand bagging you want" I don't agree with that. You should not allow the sand bagging. I thought the whole reason for a speed limit is to keep everyone in check. If you allow sand bagging then why even have a speed limit?? If you make everyone run 3mph than it is a more even playing field. This is just my two cents.

Re: Muscoda, WI, Backtop pull, rules and classes.Hot April 10, 2010 02:40AM
You still never said what age is considered antique? Or if a 15.5x38 is allowed? I wouldn't mind trying my 460 on blacktop just once. Smiling

Re: Muscoda, WI, Backtop pull, rules and classes.Hot April 10, 2010 04:32AM
well, i would imagine if 18.4's are allowed 15.5's would be fine, maybe you should read before posting.

Re: Muscoda, WI, Backtop pull, rules and classes.Hot April 09, 2010 05:02PM
I like three mph it gives every one a chance in the antiquethe guys running the bigger tires go for it with 18/4 i might have chance with the wd

Re: Muscoda, WI, Backtop pull, rules and classes.Hot April 09, 2010 05:52PM
this is all a bunch of crap< why arent you going with 16.9x28 0r 15.5x38 which is what we all from the area agreed on, why cant all the area pulls be the same? now i half tohave 3 different size tires and only live 20 miles away from all of the local pulls? like it or not people do enjoY antiques, so quit treating us like a bunch that no one wants to see

Re: Muscoda, WI, Backtop pull, rules and classes.Hot April 19, 2010 04:51PM
in my opinion, 18.4x38 is just fine. the width of the rim that some of the 16.9x28's are on make the tire WIDER then most of the 18.4x38's I've seen when I was at ithaca. my little 14.9s didn't stand a chance on blacktop. when its on dirt, its a whole nother ball game and 14.9 or 15.5 x38 vs the 16.9x28 is more fair. if you really wanna complain about tire sizes, then there should also be a rim width limit also.

I remember when pulling used to be fun...

Re: Muscoda, WI, Backtop pull, rules and classes.Hot April 10, 2010 12:07AM
If it is STOCK ANTIQUE why the 18.4's? What stock antique tractor came with 18.4's?

Re: Muscoda, WI, Backtop pull, rules and classes.Hot April 10, 2010 01:55AM
hey, i don't mind watching antiques ether, but the tires size is what some of the guys want, we are alowing sandbaging it alows for drivers to manipulate their pace which means that they have to time their speed right, making it more of a drivers sport, that way tires don't matter, with all tractors at the same pace all the time, makes the bigger tires have the advantage, with sandbaging, as long as they don't pass the pace tractor of course, it doesn't matter if the tractor as bigger tires, if the driver messes up on timing, they'll still lose to the guy with smaller tires who timed it right. At three miles an hour, it's still safe.

it makes things more intrusting to watch. all the really stock farm classes are being pulled saturday by the dairyland antique group, so we wanted to something different then the day be for.

can i run steel centers?how bout running tires backwards?

Re: Muscoda, WI, Backtop pull, rules and classes.Hot May 13, 2010 02:27AM
Improved farm is too hot to farm with a changed name and 2.6 charger, stock core pump, 466 cubic inch, 540 for V-8. yes we are pulling on the street, something that was done years ago that we are bringing back. It's a cheaper way to have a pull, and is a good type of pulling for kids and first timers to learn to be a good driver. you can run steel centers in the open classes and improved, no backwards tires though.

the pull starts Sunday at 10AM sharp, sign in starts at 9AM, the classes posted are the class order for the pull, we are NOT going to wait for people to show. make sure your there for your class. parking will be in the highschool and district office parking lots.

anymore question call 608 739-4089,

Thank you,

Shelby Page.
