What turbo would you run on a 3000 rpm 312 bored to 330 inches? Would a Holset off of a Cummins work or to big? Can buy new one from A&I parts for $350

You don't say how much fuel delivery?? If it's a turbo from a 359 "B" series, it will work.....if it's from a 505 "C" series it should also work if you are giving it enough fuel. I don't understand the 312 to 330 inches thing....how'd you do that??

turbo from which 5.9 cummins? any which one? cubes due to overbore. May not be just exact.fuel 300-350cc

hi im currently building a 312 also and im looking for the turbo manifold or even a header if someone is building them, any help would be great thanks. dave

There's a bunch of different turbo's out there for the cummins.. (stock.) Hx35 and hx40's.. h1c.. different exhaust housings.. 9,12, 14, 16, 18.. (and i think 20 & 22's.) the h1c's had a few different exhaust wheels, the 35's should be 58mm the 40's should be 60mm... parts will interchange between most.. (some will take a little machine work.) I'd Stay way from the hx35 with the 9cm housing.. (they were were on most 2000-2002 Autobmatic Dodge/Cummins.) I'd look for an hx 40.. but not sure what size exhaust housing you will want.. (if you are looking for one of these two turbo's..) most 40's were on the 8.3L cummins...

An H1E holset with a 22 exhaust housing will work real nice with limited RPM.I beleive it measures 2.37x2.67, Comes off an L10 cummings, proven setup also.

I am using a stock 3-LM-466 charger on my 666 with a 312 and a 13mm AAMBAC pump. It seems to work really good for me.
