How thick do my burst panels need to be for ntpa? I thought I read 1/8" steel. Can I use diamondplate? |

1/8" Steel is 11 GA.
I have always understood you are supposed to use a proper SFI Burst Panel. You can buy them in a 3 pc kit from most people like Sassy . You can find new ones on E-Bay as well. Anodized Alum usually. Good Luck |

Thanks! Yeah they are the inner side shield burst panels on a SF tractor. Have to make some this week and dont have my rules with me right now... I wonder if you can use aluminum at a greater thickness? or just 1/8" steel |

Yeah, you can use aluminum, but I believe it has to be 1/4" thickness....... |
