Getting my 10 year old trailer road worthy again and it needs new rubber. What brand is everyone having good luck with? They are 235/85/16 14 ply. |

If you can go to a 14 ply tire.. I was looking at changing from the 16 to 17.5 for the load rating... (I don't remember the ply rating on the 17.5, but it was about 6000lbs per tire.) Any idea about what the rating is for a 16in with a 14ply? (I know it will vary between brands of tires.) |

17.5 is the way to go . I switched last year and would never go back to 16's |

Buy ST rated tires (trailer designation) .
LT tires are a joke, no matter what the brand. I'm finding out the hard/expensive way. |
