yes it will work up to about 900 to 1000 hp

you will be pretty close to all you can put through both the clutch and quad but clutch mainly and take the chance of breaking the short shaft between the quad and top shaft of the transmision when u get to that much power you probly need custom gears and a crower because that wet setup takes horsepower to turn

How much hp is lost through the wet clutch setup? Would like to change my 4440 to dry but how do u do it? Am confused and need some help.

We pull in the 3000 rpm clas with a quad range and we have ripped out the 2 speed already once and smoked the clutches in the second time in the 2 speed. We broke the shaft that goes all the way through. The houseing from the 2 speed was also broke. This was all using a 3lm charger
also. You can beef up everything a little witch we have but they wont stand Hot farm for very long if you are doing any winning at all.

WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO IS GET A 4020 OR 4010 BELL HOUSING AND TRANSMISSION TO GET AWAY FROM THE WET CLUTCH AND 2 SPEED. WE HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS, THE ONLY BAD THING WITH THIS IS THAT YOU LOOSE THE 2 SPEED BUT YOU GAIN ON THE BREAKAGE

Never had any problems with the 4430 two speed or the engine clutch, but have 6 disks on the engine clutch, and the extra disks like in an early 4430 in the 2 speed. I do know that The D3-4 gear set seems to be a weak link. I know of a guy that has taken the teeth off the high pinion twice pulling D3-4 in the 10000lb 3000rpm hot farm classes.

I have never had my 2 speed slip or break ever but i am very easy off the clutch and dont ram rod it off the line & am running around 900 hp 5000 rpm dont worry about your 2 speed run it until you can afford the 7000 dollars to put the crower and custom gears in to make it fast enough to compete

At 5000rpm that quadrange should be doing 42mph wheel speed in d4. I would think that would be plenty competitive! Why only 900hp if you can spin it 5000rpms though??
