I was wondering if anyone knew if any 404 will bolt up to a 4010, i know the old ones will but was curious if the later 404 would bolt up as well. If the later 404 will not bolt up to this transmission does anyone have any sugestions on putting a P pump on the early motor. Thanks for any suggestions. |

If your not pulling in a reg. Farm stock class. For the money and power a 466 will bolt right up and is a much better motor. In fact if you tried to buy a 404 from your local johndeere dealer the 466 is a factory replacement motor. |

I have checked into that for years and no one has been able to answer that question. I haven't found any adapter plates and I'm not sure there is enough cast there to hold an in-line pump. I am just trying to get the most out of the rotary pump for now. A 466 is definitely the right way to go when it's in the fun to do budget. Good luck! |

Does anyone know if a 404 flywheel will bolt onto a 359? I am actually going to run in a 359 class, i have a clutch set up for a 404 thats whay i was thinking of getting a 404 and de-cubing however if the clutch will work i would just build an adapter plate and put in a 359.
Thanks David |
