Cockshutt 580 - 8 days ago

I believe that there was only 1 Cockshutt 580 ever made, most likely a prototype.

Generally speaking the hot farm turbo was designed for better performance in lower rpm applications but still work ok in higher rpm applications.

My pawpaw pulled but he died before I could ever learn anything so like most things now I’m having to teach myself and get help from people online. Had to rebuild his farm without him and now I’m gonna build a puller in his

NFMS Pull-Off's - 2 years ago

I am just wondering why the officiating crew will allow, 1 or 2 tractors to plow the sand all while the first 2 back out of their throttles to prevent damage to their equipment, then another guy comes along and Plows nearly through the sand pile and causes great damage to his tractor and then the officiating crew makes a decision to call a full pull distance just below the mark that the guy who

Re: biden state of the union=pack of lies - 2 years ago

QuoteJake Morgan I believe it to mean that you answer to a higher power. That despite being the leader of the free world you're still beholden to something much bigger than yourself. With that much power it's difficult to stay grounded and having a true belief in a higher power should be a constant reminder that your not omnipotent. If you truly believe in God it should help maintain so

Re: Light pro out of bounds - 2 years ago

From our angle, it appeared that there was white chalk on his left drive tire. Everyone around us had the same opinion! They tossed others during the week for going out of bounds but maybe he didn't go out of bounds enough? It definitely changed the placing of the class. Where we pull in Ohio, if you get white chalk on tire you are out. The evidence is clear to see.

Re: Most iconic person, builder, Mark Massey/ Jerry Lagod - 2 years ago

Mark Massey and Jerry Lagod stand out in my mind as the pioneers of the diesel performance world as we know it today. These guys were masterminds in their desire to push the limits of high performance diesel engines and fuel and turbo systems. Mark who put Columbus Diesel on the map and currently operates Eastern Ohio Diesel Performance and Jerry founder of Hypermax were way ahead of their times

Re: Chris Cain “Aces Wild” - 2 years ago

I think you are sadly mistaken if you believe that the Cains don't know what they are up against or where they are from a performance standpoint against the Supers. These fellows have been doing this for many years and I can promise you that they know exactly what they are doing and how they can compete within the class that they choose to compete in. My hats off to these guys and wish them

V8 Hotrod - 2 years ago

Greetings all! What is the best rear end to build a V8 hotrod on? I know Cockshutts are good, how about IH, or maybe even Ford? Will they handle 800 plus horsepower? Also what are the gear ratios for the different brands, and what final drive ratios range are likely to work best with 410 ci. 8000 rpm setup? I appreciate any input. Thanks rw

Crimes not being punished. - 2 years ago

I agree with my friend Lewis. As my father would say, "If you would stretch a few necks publicly on the courthouse lawns, then the criminals would think twice about committing these serious crimes." I guarantee you that if they would carry out the death penalties immediately after sentencing for crimes committed with guns, that the mass shootings and crimes committed with firearms would slow way

Re: Have Pullers already set their own value? - 3 years ago

I believe that high fuel prices will most certainly limit many pullers travel radius. Dick, I can say as a competitor there is not really 1 thing in particular that drives us to the desire to compete in tractor pulling. Certainly the camaraderie with other people with the same interests we have, definitely the family and friends aspect ranks really high, our competitive nature, doing the majori
