Depends on turbo size, injector size, etc. I have ran from 40oz on 3x3 smoothbore, I have been over 90oz with a map groove.

While I agree 100% with most of what you said I do disagree with the cost comment. The cost are to me as big of an issue as keeping the engines together. Think about the cost of replacing $15,000 turbos (low end prices from what I'm told) two or three times a summer particularly for teams that have more than one tractor. These guys are looking at spending upwards of

With work to them for the front engine mounts, yes. 66 ones can be cut down also. All in how nice you want it to look.

Who makes taper lock units? How are they built to remove them?
Thanks
I know that Riverside does. I am sure there are others, but I know that Phil does.

I have been told that a 470ci, 3.4-3.6 turbo is well north of 1500. I personally have not seen the dyno sheet, but that’s what I was told. Hopefully that’s somewhat helpful.

How does the 16.8 gear compare to road gear? Thanks
Road gear with “fast” ring and pinion is 21:1.

No one debates that a 300 will make better power. The entire purpose of their class is a starter class. The line has to be drawn somewhere. Say they ran 300s now, then everyone on here would be bitching about why not just run a 400. They are cheap and make better power! 3lm is where this group of guys collectively drew their line. There is absolutely nothing to be gained from bashing their rules.
