Good Questions. Many of them depend upon the associations rules, there is no standard set of rules for most of these, but I'll give you what I believe most associations do.
If boundary lines are along the track extend out to 320' but it's a floating finish and the tractor goes 330' but is clearly travels over where the would have been if it was extended out to 330. Is that

Are you asking about Teeing a return line into the line between the tank and the pump inlet? If so, once all of the air is out of the system it might be fine, but I'm not sure how you do that. You definately don't want air at the pump inlet.

JD Parts online is showing the same parts for 30, 40, 50, & 55 series so I think you would need to find an old paper book or microfiche. I would start by comparing the 30 series to the 50 & 55.
You're going to flip around R58624 and replace AR81327 & AR81329 with what you find in the newer model that still uses R58624.
Hope this helps, sorry that I don't have the numbers for yo

Depends upon what you call extensive. I think you can get 4.75" bore sleeves that drop into an 8.1 block with no machining to the block which will make 531 with an 8.1 crank. A 5.5" stroker crank fits pretty easy, so now you are at 585.

I don't think so.
Found this one in the St Charles area:
Montgomery Garden Tractor pullers have a schedule on Facebook but no rule book or list of classes.
Of course the ITPA runs the NQS style classes.

I think the only garden tractor pulling left in Franklin County is the 16 & under classes at the Washington & possibly Union fairs.
HRGTPA.com is a little west of you. It's the only one in the area that I've been able to find on the web.

I don't think you can have to many cubes no matter what the turbo size. Just realize you will be making power at lower RPM's.

You can either put 4010 finals on it or you can put gears in the 2 speed that will make low direct (same as high now) and high overdrive. I think Deere discontinued the gear you need though so you will have to find a used set. The planet gears flip, you just need new input and output gears.

Specify everything, then bring tractors to pull and blind draw which one you drive (not the one you brought).

Did you look at the schedule or just count x's in that column? There are about 11 promoters that evidently haven't decided which classes they are having. That's probably why Joe was reluctant to post the schedule. I'm sure that most of those 11 will schedule the 85 LP.

There are pumps that turn at crankshaft speed. The cam inside the pump will determine how many times it fires per revolution.
An idler gear between the crank and pump would not affect the relation between those gears, the idler just goes along for the ride.

Pretty sure it's the opposite. You set a maximum acceleration rate and if the engine is accelerating faster than the programmed limit it takes timing out and/or drops cylinders to keep the acceleration rate at the limit. So, if the track can take more or less than you anticipated your going to be behind someone that drives by feeling the slip. I may be way off, that's why I asked.

Terry,
Can you explain how this works to an advantage? I've read about the power grid and as I understand it's really acceleration control. In drag racing where you have multiple qualifying runs on a track I can see where the racer can tune the system in, but in pulling where you typically get one shot at the track how do you know before the run how much acceleration the track can ta

Unless it's creating some tomfoolery with the hook not hanging free I don't see how it can. Physics says that the tractor only knows that the hook is X inches behind and Y inches below the rear axle.

Unless PPL is making a profit Lucas is also a sponsor. If they determine that losses (sponsorship) are not generating enough product sales they can sell or dissolve the business. I'm not saying it's going to happen, but to think it can't is foolish. I doubt that they have an emotional tie to pulling which is what generally causes someone to keep dumping money into a losing ventu

Our group used to run race gas and draw thru carbs. 4LE turbos and an 850 carb with boost reference and big needle and seats. The 301 guys ran girdles and aftermarket pistons. Not positive on the rods but I think some ran factory, might have been heat treated though. Boost was ~40 psi and revs about where you are.

ALL 3LM466 turbos have a 2.3" inlet, that is the way Schweitzer made all of them. Sometimes people change the wheel, but then it isn't a 3LM466 anymore.

We had a 2010 utility and it was a nice size for the haybine, 4 row planter, and the like. I really liked it although the 2840 was my favorite overall. However I would not consider the 2010 for a LLSS. I would look at 2630/2640/2840 and similar tractors for a lightweight rear especially if you are considering the 329/359/414 engines. That combo should be lightweight.

Don't have airbags, probably will not add them, and not NTPA puller.
Your analogy is wrong. To simulate coming off the line you need to compare standing on a compressed pogo stick and jumping vs standing on a post and jumping. Even that doesn't work the same because when you push off with your jump you will further compress the spring giving a rebound boost, on the tractor there is
